With the new year upon us, there is this energizing excitement that may stimulate many of us to leave old, unhealthy habits behind, and embrace new and better things for ourselves. But it’s no secret that most of the resolutions or good intentions we set out to start in the new year are quickly lost. That’s why here below I have 4 powerful things you can try to help make real, lasting change for your health and vitality.
GET YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY INVOLVED IN FITNESS & HOME COOKING
Most of us have partners, children, friends, and pets interwoven into our lives. Which is why if you want to improve your health in some way, including the people in your life is incredibly change-inducing. Some specific examples are working out with your partner or friend and cooking healthy meals together. If you have kids that are old enough to be involved in the kitchen, have them help wash and prepare produce. Teach them to cook. Take them to the grocery store and have them pick out a new fruit or vegetable they’ve never tried. Make family walks outside with nature a weekly routine. Do screen free Sundays where on that day everyone does something more meaningful and connected. (Minimizing the constant screen-usage most of us revolve around, would be such an improvement for our health in so many ways). When it comes to living a healthy lifestyle, you might just find that when you involve the people in your life in every single way possible, big or small, you will become a much more vibrant human.
AUTOMATE IT
We all live busy lives with so many things to focus on that even finding the energy and time to figure out what to feed our families can be a challenge. That’s why I think using subscription services can be helpful. Something as simple as always having healthy options in your pantry, fridge, and freezer can be made easy with monthly subscription services. A few I recommend trying are butcher box, thrive market, and force of nature meats.
ADD IN SOME PERSONAL TRAINING SESSIONS TO COMPLIMENT YOUR CLASSES
If you’re already a consistent class attendee but feel like in the new year you’d like to boost your performance, improve your body composition a little more, or just work on the skills that make up the art of fitness, then adding in some personalized training sessions could be a huge benefit to you.
WORK WITH A NUTRITION COACH
There is no shortage of health information out there in today’s world. Yet so many of us still seem to struggle with different health concerns that are directly related to what we consume. That’s because information alone isn’t enough if you can’t actively apply it to your life to make a real difference. Constant low energy, brain fog, hormone imbalances, gastrointestinal issues, trouble sleeping, that 10 pounds you can’t seem to lose no matter what you try, the list goes on of things most of us try to figure out ourselves when really just having some guidance and support would make a huge difference and actually get us the results we’re looking for. I work with my clients to get to root cause of their symptoms and create a personalized plan for reaching their goals.
