Jamie Cantu

Owner | Coach

Jamie first experienced CrossFit in 2009 and had an immediate love of the sport due to the always challenging WODs, short time spent in the gym, and the great community of people. In 2010 she obtained her L1 and CrossFit Kids certifications, and in 2018 achieved her L2 certification. Jamie is co-owner of Kirkland CrossFit and super proud of the community surrounding KCF! She lives in Kirkland with her husband, two stepsons, and baby girl! 


Erica Gamble

Owner | Coach

Erica became co-owner of Kirkland CrossFit in July 2017.  She discovered CrossFit in 2011 and saw an immediate transformation after life-long struggle with body image.  She especially fell in love with the weightlifting component of CrossFit and received her L1 Certification later that year.  She holds the CrossFit Gymnastics certification as well as the CrossFit L2.  During the 2014 and 2015 Open, she placed in the top 200 worldwide in her age division to advance onto the Master’s Qualifier Event.  She grew up in Bellevue, was a competitive swimmer and rowed crew for University of Washington.  Erica currently lives in Kirkland with her two children.


Tiffany Bucher


Tiffany discovered Kirkland CrossFit in 2008 and this is where health and fitness became a very important part of her life. As she fell in love with CrossFit she obtained her L1 certification and began coaching. Prior to CrossFit she spent her time playing competitive soccer and horseback riding. Tiffany attended Washington State University where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Sociology. Tiffany enjoys traveling, the outdoors and spending quality time with her husband, daughter and dog. 


Brigid Freitag


Brigid began doing CrossFit in 2013 after competing in Olympic Weightlifting for 3 years.  She has been a collegiate strength and conditioning coach for 7 years, most recently at Washington State University. She received her Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Kentucky. Her certifications include USA Weightlifting Level 1 Sports Performance Coach, NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and CSCCa Strength and Conditioning Coached Certified. She enjoys spending time outdoors with family and friends. Brigid and her husband Kevin have a son and daughter on the way!


Michelle Hansson


Michelle joined the Kirkland CrossFit community in 2008 and began competing a few years later – most notably in the CrossFit Games team division. In addition to receiving her L1 certification in 2010, she has earned certifications in Movement and Mobility, Olympic Lifting, and CrossFit Kids. Michelle has a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from University of Arizona. Michelle’s passions are helping others succeed in their fitness goals, traveling, boating, the outdoors, and more than anything s pending time with her husband and beautiful daughter.  


Lenore King


Lenore has been a personal trainer for more than 15 years. She got hooked on CrossFit in 2011 and soon after got her L1 certification.  Lenore also holds her L2 and Endurance certifications. She has been Ace and ISSA certified since 1996. An avid runner and triathlete, Lenore competed in Olympic and ½ Ironman Triathlons. Last year she qualified for the masters regional online qualifier and placed 108 in the world for her age group. Lenore lives in Kirkland with her husband Rich and two boys.


Aggie Stern


In 2009, Aggie discovered CrossFit after hearing about it through her nephews. She was looking for a new fitness challenge and immediately fell in love with the community, discipline, and always challenging elements of the sport. A former gymnast and weight trainer, Aggie appreciates that CrossFit encompasses many different aspects of fitness and continuously challenges both the beginner and the experienced. One of her favorite things about coaching is watching people surprise themselves as their strength and body awareness increases and they do things they never thought they could. Aggie has lived in Seattle most of her life and attended University of Washington. Favorite activities are working out with her two awesome daughters, being outdoors, and enjoying great food.  Certifications include CrossFit Level 1 and CrossFit Kids.


Hunter Treaux


Hunter was introduced to CrossFit in 2010, when a local gym was opened by a couple of firefighters in Marysville, WA. However, he didn’t consistently begin training until 2013, when fitness became a very important part of his life. As he fell in love with the sport of CrossFit he obtained his Level 1 certification and began coaching. Hunter has utilized his fitness in various hobbies such as: mountaineering, biking, surfing, as well as many other outdoor activities and sports. Currently, he is a student at the University of Washington studying Biology, with hopes of graduate study in Physiology, nutrition, and human performance. 


Kaija Stern


Kaija was introduced to CrossFit in 2011, as a way to stay in shape during the off-season of high school sports. She was hooked by the competitive spirit and strong community support that CrossFit encompasses, brining athletes together from all walks of life. As CrossFit became a greater passion, she obtained her L1 certification and began coaching. Prior to CrossFit, Kaija was a gymnast, swimmer, and participated in competitive cheerleading. Kaija graduated from Dartmouth with a degree in Global Health and Hispanic Studies. When she’s not at the gym, Kaija enjoys traveling, the outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.
